Al Sherif Muwaffak M. Al Harith Chairman, ACE Group
The history of ACE Expos began in the 1970’s, when the economic boom established an exciting new market for the region.
At the time, such opportunity was relatively new and brave in the developing Gulf market, and thus the company grew quickly and swiftly as the benefits of outstanding products, services, and technology became quickly apparent.
As a pioneering company specializing in events, we designed and produced many projects helping to promote, launch, and celebrate our growing industries in the Western Region, where 50% of Saudi population & commercialization exists.
During the early years of expansion, we developed a key relationship with the Jeddah Chamber of Commerce & Industry, which led to ACE Expos eventually settling into one of the most magnificent locations - the Jeddah Centre for Forums & Events.
ACE is the only exhibition company to sign an exclusive co-operation agreement with the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) aiming at jointly organizing different economic events to the benefit of Islamic Member States. ACE Expos is also affiliated with multiple international bodies such as the Association of Event Organizers and Founding Member of the Arab Union of International Exhibitions and Conferences.
Over the years we have continued our upward progression according to market demands, and our work has been celebrated locally and regionally. Our innovative, valuable, and interactive projects in the industry continue to raise the bar here in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and the neighboring countries as well.
Saudi Arabia enjoys a rich heritage; with its history going back to ancient times, the nation itself has advanced to current modernity. The Desert Kingdom is one of the fastest developing nations in the world that boasts a high per capita income of $20,700 (2007). The launch of six exquisite “economic cities” (e.g. King Abdullah Economic City) will usher the country into the 2020s. This rapid growth is intended to not only diversify, but also magnify the economy of Saudi Arabia. The Late King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia (May He Rest in Peace) had announced that the per capita income will rise from $15,000 in 2006 to $33,500 in 2020. The dynamic new developments are currently spread across Saudi Arabia to promote diversification and prosperity for each region and their economy. The new and booming cities are estimated to contribute $150 billion to the GDP, with the more developed urban areas of Riyadh and Jeddah expecting to contribute $287 billion dollars by the year 2020.
The Centre of Business & Commercialization:Jeddah with 50% of its population under the age of 16, the Kingdom’s market is both vibrant and lucrative.
The majority of the nation’s spending power lies in the Western Region, as half of its population resides within this area and holds high- earning, above average incomes.
Jeddah is the prime city of the Western Region, is the unmatchable commercial center of the Kingdom, along with being the travel and leisure hub for the whole country. Pilgrims visiting the two holy Mosques route their journey through the city, as well as businessmen, tourists, and locals.
Simply put, Jeddah is a key business location in Saudi Arabia, and hence the infrastructure and facilities for the exhibitor and business world are superb, with the city boasting one of the Arab World's largest seaports, remarkable hotels, business opportunities and a rich cultural heritage. To add to its appeal, 2016 will witness one of the largest and most modern airports in the Middle East.
